Attention Cell Phone Drivers: Get Caller ID on Your Watch

October 2nd, 2006 MobileFreak

How many times have you found yourself driving down the road fumbling for your cell phone as it rings? Now you can simply glance at your wrist to see who’s calling, and avoid a potential accident in the process.

Fossil Watch with Caller IDAs reported in the Washington Post yesterday, Fossil Inc. has introduced two new watches which utilize Bluetooth wireless technology to display the name or number of the person calling your cell phone. The watches can be set to vibrate when a call arrives, and even let you silence the phone’s ringer, or send the call directly to voicemail.

Currently available in two men’s models only, the watches retail for $200 and $249. The $249 model is available for pre-order today for shipment in early November. Make sure your cell phone is Bluetooth-enabled before purchasing the watch.

Now if we could get the car insurance companies to provide a discount for drivers with these watches.
