Avoid Speed Traps with this iPhone App

Fuzz Alert is an iPhone app that alerts users to speed traps, red light cameras, and even DUI checkpoints.
Fuzz Alert comes in a free version as well as the premium Fuzz Alert Pro, which is $.99 in the App Store. Fuzz Alert Pro allows the app to run in the background, or in radar mode.
These types of iPhone and Android apps have received a good amount of negative feedback from the law enforcement community, and naturally so. A quick glance at their Twitter feed, and you can see why. (While you’re there, you should follow us on Twitter to get more tips like this one!)

Oho, this looks like it could come in very handy for a lot of us. While I certainly understand there being negative feedback from the law enforcement about it, sometimes, the motorists are unfairly penalized.
