Is SkyFire the Best Mobile Browser? T-Mobile G-1 the First Android Phone

Buy Domains from Your Mobile Phone

September 22nd, 2008 MobileFreak

Ever have an idea for a website when you are out and about, but forget about it by the time you get to your computer?

Now you can check the availability of domains and even buy them from GoDaddy’s mobile website. Here’s a tip though: it is generally not a good idea to have your site hosted at the same place where you registered your domain. If you ever decide to change hosting providers or transfer the domain to another provider, they can make it very difficult to do if they want.

Enjoy!

I don’t really think it is a dumb idea like Dean suggests…however, I typically just take note of any domain ideas I may have a check as soon as I am in front of a computer. Being able to do it on the run on a mobile phone could come in handy once in a blue moon supposed. Definitely not an earth shattering service…but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea! :)

Good advice on having a seperate web host…I am sure a company like godaddy would make it a HUGE pain to switch hosts.

Nice advice, I’m also sure it would be a huge pain to switch hosts.
