Find the Lowest Price with Frucall

You are out at your local Best Buy store, and you find a digital camera with all the features you’ve been looking for. There is only one unit left, but you’re not sure you’d be getting the best price for it. What do you do?
Now you can use your mobile phone to quickly check prices online for the same item you found in a store. Here’s how it works. Once you find the product in a retail store, you access the Frucall mWeb service from your phone’s web browser. Enter the bar code number or make and model, and the site will return a listing of the prices online, as well as product reviews.
Don’t want to use your mobile web connection minutes? Frucall offers two alternatives to its mobile website. Users can simply call Frucall (1-888-DO-FRUCALL), enter the same bar code information, and Frucall will provide a voice response of all the matching items and prices.
The second alternative is a text message (SMS) version. Here are the directions from the Frucall website:
Simply “text” the barcode, or brand and model, to FRU11 (37811) and we’ll Text Message back to you the best available online prices found for that product.
Once you save the phone number or mobile website as a favorite in your phone, using this should be a no-brainer.

Sounds like a very useful service. I have an issue with the name though. Google’s price comparison service was called “Froogle” (a play on the word “frugal”) until it came out of beta.
This site you’re promoting sounds to me like a bit of a rip-off of the Google site’s name. The service sounds great though so I’ll be giving it a try soon.
