Foot Locker Brings it with Two Mobile Websites

I cannot say we’ve ever profiled the mobile website of a shoe retailer before. Someone was kind enough to point out Foot Lockers efforts in the mobile space, so we thought we’d take a look.
Foot Locker offers not one, but two mobile websites to cater to their customers. The VIP site is an interesting effort — here, in their own words, are what you get as part of the VIP membership:
- A coupon for $10 off your next purchase of $50 (in-store only)
- Coupons emailed and mailed to you throughout the year
- Early access to select products
- Special VIP member only discounts and promotions
- VIP access to special events
- Special VIP-only offers from other marketers and retailers
That last “feature” sounds a little spammy to me, but it’s an interesting program nonetheless. At least Foot Locker is making an effort in a space where many of their competitors are not.
