Free Mobile Games and Apps for Any Phone
February 2nd, 2009 MobileFreak
After watching a very close and exciting Super Bowl for the second year in a row, I finally sat down to read about this site that offers downloads of free mobile games and applications. Unlike download services that cater to one specific platform, such as the iPhone App Store, this site serves all phone and platforms. The site carries 300+ applications are for virtually all phones and carriers. And the apps come directly from the software developers themselves.
Launched only last September, Phoload has an impressive array of games including TooDo, xCalc, Tetris, snaptu, and hundreds more. Looking for mobile games made specifically for the your T-Mobile G1 Android phone? Then go to that category on Phoload and browse around.
Be careful searching the site once you set a filter though. The site subtly keeps that filter enabled as you search for other apps. So if you were searching for applications for your T-Mobile G-1 phone, be sure to remove the filter before looking for games for your girlfriend’s LG phone, for example. To their credit, it became instantly clear to me as soon as I looked in the upper left area of the site that the filter was still set, and it was easy to remove with just one click.
Go check it out. It’s free, and these days, free is very, very good.

Thanks for writing about us! Yes, the Android filter is a little bit sneaky. We’ll try to find a way to make it even clearer to users that the whole site is filtered once you visit the Android page.
Here is another fun site.
