Instant Picture Conversations with Radar.net
November 15th, 2007 MobileFreak
Following up on yesterday’s USA Today article we mentioned, we took a look at a mobile site that lets you connect with your friends with your camera phone.
As Radar’s home page explains, registered users take a picture with their mobile phone from wherever they are (from a concert, for example). They then send it to Radar as a picture message, and the user’s friends on Radar can then view and even comment on that picture. The service also allows for video uploads as well.
In addition to the mobile website itself, Radar has created a mobile application for various platforms, including for Java MIDP, RIM BlackBerry, Windows Mobile phones, the iPhone, and the iPod Touch.
This might be a fun service for people from birdwatchers to concert-goers to family members taking pictures of the kids. I’m sure there are several other applications of this that might be even more useful. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think.
