The holidays are almost upon us, and thousands of us are making travel plans as we speak. With that in mind, we thought we’d highlight a few travel websites to help you plan directly from your mobile phone.
Today we will look at the mobile website for Amtrak. With the hassle of airport security, lost luggage, and high gas costs on the road, more people are turning to the railroad as a way to get home for the holidays. This mobile site allows you to book or review a reservation, check that status of a trip, or sign up to receive a train status alert via email. It’s powered by Usablenet Mobile, which allows organizations to display their web content on a mobile device.
So check out the site and take a train this Thanksgiving, but watch out for a large man that sells shower curtain rings.
