Shopping List App for Your Mobile Phone

November 7th, 2007 MobileFreak

Have you created your shopping list for the holidays? Do you have your mobile phone ready?

A little company called DedaSys LLC created a mobile application to manage your shopping list from your mobile phone. Created by DedaSys founder David Welton, the ShopList application lets you create a list, download it to your phone, and keep it updated while you shop.

For those familiar with installing JAVA applications on the mobile phone, it does require installation of two files on your phone in order for the application to run. While the app is extremely simple, it does provide a solid basis for other things that are possible with mobile applications. And I suspect David might have other features or applications up his sleeve for later down the road.

Hey, thanks for giving ShopList a whirl and writing about it!

In terms of other mobile stuff, Hecl is where my current efforts are focused:

For those who haven’t heard of it, it’s a scripting language for mobile phones, making it quicker and easier to create basic apps. I used it to prototype ShopList, for instance.
