Soccer Scores on Your Mobile

A reader recently sent us a mobile website with all the latest soccer scores and news updates. To find out how to stay current on the latest soccer news and scores from around the world, keep reading…
From the home page, the site provides direct links to each of the current day’s matches, including scores to those that are already underway. The user can also browse the latest soccer-related news stories from the navigation bar at the top. Today, the top news story includes a photo of the Russia national coach, Guus Hiddink, who just re-signed as their coach through 2010.
The site is not only focused on European soccer, however. I browsed over to the North American scores and easily found information on Major League Soccer (MLS), where is displayed the final standings of the latest season, including the date of the last game played.
I would recommend that the navigation bar be placed at the bottom (instead of the top), which is consistent with today’s mobile web guidelines. Regardless, this mobile website is clean and clutter-free, and we did not see a single ad.
