It’s finally here! Sort of.

T-Mobile announced the G-1 mobile phone today, the first mobile phone to run on the Google Android mobile platform. While customers can pre-order today, availability in the U.S will begin October 22. The T-Mobile G-1 phone will cost $179 with a 2 year voice and data plan from T-Mobile.

Wake me when the G-4 is released. This is clearly a beta me-too event. I don’t have an iPhone and I’m interested in substance not style. Google have tried but this looks like an early internal build.

Yeh maybe but this is why Android will win

http://deancollinsblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/reasons-why-android-is-better.html

What I dont understand about the apple istore etc is when are they going to have a cross device store?

Seems like an obvious choice with
http://windows.MobileAppStore.net
or
http://android.MobileAppStore.net
or
http://iphone.MobileAppStore.net etc etc.

Cheers,
Dean

I’m finally happy to be on T-Mobile. My contact goes up in November so if the reviews are good I’ll probably pick on of these up. I watched most of the videos from the conference and it seems really nice (and with an open market will we maybe see Mario on our phone). I can only hope.
