Text Messaging Tool Undergoing Maintenance Happy Thanksgiving From MobileMammoth

Thank You Steve

October 9th, 2011 MobileFreak

Words cannot express the gratitude that we at MobileMammoth have for the contributions that Steve Jobs made to the mobile industry. Yet his impacts went way beyond any single industry, or any single country. His impacts were felt worldwide, and they were as much cultural as they were technical.

I remember seeing Steve Jobs one afternoon near Palo Alto, as we were both parking at a jogging trail near Stanford known as ‘The Dish’ for the giant satellite dish which stood next to the trail. This was back in 2001 before the iPhone and just months before the first iPod came out. Yet I was still in awe because of what he had accomplished already.

Steve Jobs was indeed a visionary. He went against the grain. He turned industries on their heads.

Thank you Steve.

Steve was unique. He also had a vision. Many people will try to copy him and they won’t be successful. All the articles about why he was successful and how he was successful will come out.

Steve Jobs will be missed. RIP. His legacy will live on through what he did for technology.

Good post. I too was deeply saddened by the loss of Steve Jobs. Sure he was a tough taskmaster but that’s what you have to do to break away from the norm and create special things. The people who shared his vision understood this and stood by his side. Also, I still respect him for the sheer clout he could muster just based on his ideas and concepts that made everyone sit up and take notice. He changed the way music companies did business! Who knows when someone like him will come around again. RIP Steve.

A quote from the great Steve Jobs: “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life … Stay hungry. Stay foolish.”

I wonder how long Apple can keep innovating without him.
